3 Productivity Tips to Help You Get Back on Track

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome back to Easlo's newsletter. Every week, I curate actionable tips to help supercharge your productivity and growth.

Today's Focus: 3 Productivity Tips to Help You Get Back on Track

Hack #1: Two-Minute Rule

If your to-do list seems endless, this two-minute rule by productivity expert David Allen might just do the trick.

For any tasks that can be done in under two minutes, get it done and out of your way.

The rationale is that this task would otherwise take more time to be captured into your task management system or take up much more cognitive load if it were to be left undone and lingering in your head.

If it takes less than two minutes, do it now.

Hack #2: 5 Seconds Rule

I learned this next powerful rule from Mel Robbins.

If you have an instinct to act on a goal, you must take an action (no matter how small) within 5 seconds.

If you don't, your brain might come up with reasons to avoid or delay the action.

So, if you find yourself procrastinating, count down 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and take action.

Hack #3: Eat the Frog

As Mark Twain once said, “Eat a live frog first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.”

Every evening, identify the most challenging task for tomorrow and tackle it at the start of each day.

Your future self will thank you for this.

Tool of the Week: One Month Day

I recently learned about the possibility of completing one month's work in a single day.

It's not for everyone and it's definitely not for every day, but it's definitely worth sharing.
