3 Resources Everyone Can Tap Into to Be More Productive

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome back to Easlo's newsletter. Every week, I curate actionable tips to help supercharge your productivity and growth.

Today's Focus: 3 Resources Everyone Can Tap Into to Be More Productive

Resource #1: Pockets of Time

There are pockets of time everywhere.

These moments, like your commute time or breaks between meetings, are often overlooked.

However, they can be well harnessed to complete small tasks, brainstorm new ideas, or simply take a moment to breathe deeply and allow your mind to recover.

But most people let these moments go to waste by, you guessed it, scrolling on their phones.

This not only takes away your time but also precious mental capacity.

So, what will you do with your pockets of time?

Resource #2: Power of Will

It used to be easy to tell myself I'd used all my willpower to get all my work done and that my getting sucked into watching Netflix for hours was beyond my control.

Recent studies are telling us that willpower is not a finite resource.

When I first heard about it from this article from Nir Eyal, it honestly gave me a whole new sense of power over what I do.

I'm choosing now to be responsible for my actions, and if I'm watching Netflix, it's because I chose to.

Resource #3: Intrinsic Rewards

Most people judge their self-worth and their work by extrinsic rewards.

More likes, more support, more profits.

It's an endless pursuit that has us chasing a carrot on a stick, which will only tire us out.

It doesn't have to be this way.

You can choose to focus on intrinsic rewards, like the satisfaction that comes from doing a good job, or the joy of learning something new, or the feeling of contributing to another.

In this way, you can learn to enjoy the process.

Tool of the Week: “ “

Only in the absence of tools can this tool shine.

When you are constantly flooded with information, you leave no time or room for it to settle.

Only when it becomes calm can we think clearly and make decisions that come from within.

Your mind is your most powerful tool.

Favourite Quote This Week:

“Your mind is like this water, my friend. When it is agitated, it becomes difficult to see. But if you allow it to settle, the answer becomes clear.”

In the noisy world we live in, we can still make space for stillness.

I hope you enjoyed this issue, and I will talk to you soon next week.
