3 Tips to Help You Beat Procrastination

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome back to Easlo's newsletter. Every week, I curate actionable tips to help supercharge your productivity and growth.

Today's Focus: How to Beat Procrastination

Tip 1: Set a clear goal

Instead of fixating on the outcome, concentrate on clarifying the goal of each work session. For instance, instead of telling yourself to make a new YouTube video, commit to drafting a script for the video.

Tip 2: Break a task into sub-tasks

Drafting a script might still seem like a hefty task, but breaking it down into sub-tasks like outlining the draft, writing the introduction, or finalizing the conclusion can make it more manageable. The key here is to reduce the resistance to starting, thereby making the task seem less daunting and easier to approach.

Tip 3: Prioritize action over motivation

Understand inaction is the cause of procrastination, not the lack of motivation. Taking your first step and putting yourself into motion is what can help you overcome procrastination. Action is what helps brings back motivation which in turns fuel more action.
